DoD SkillBridge partnership
The DoD SkillBridge program helps service members transition into the civilian workforce with hands-on job training during their final months of service. RSDS recruits and trains individuals from every branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.
The RSDS training program
- Hands-on, in-depth learning designed to teach the skills for a career as a real estate appraiser
- Experienced certified master trainers teaching a year-long lesson plan
- Live in-person, virtual and one-on-one training sessions
- On-site visits: viewing, measuring, data and material collection
- Daily exam prep, training videos and sample reports
- Learn to produce credible appraisal reports in conformity with USPAP
Application timeline
- 365+ days before discharge: research the RSDS program on the DoD SkillBridge website and contact KharonB@rsdsllc.com
- 270 to 210 days before discharge: submit your branch application for approval through your supervisor, education counselor and commander
- Then: interview with RSDS and plan your start date
